Crickets recorded at night, in my garden, in summer. Recorded with a tascam dr-05. The sound was post-processed with audacity to remove the background noise (it was a stormy weather). Construction work outside my house at night. You can hear some drilling and hammering and different construction tools as well as some men talking and cars passing by. Recorded with my iphone 11 mic.

During quarentine (march 2020), the night birds are more audible (active), because of the lack of human produced sound. Recorded from my window with a sd mixpre6 and a pair of primo 172 clippy's in ab stereo configuration (3 meters apart).

A particular insect, maybe a grasshopper doing this sound which i use as background atoms instead of the typical cricket. Recorded stereo on zoom h4 on board mics, i edited it to remove some of the hiss.

Sounds recorded on a summer night, in 2005, west of redmond oregon (see geotag). Made with a jvc digital camcorder, it got some interesting sounds of frogs, coyotes howling in the distance and the reaction of a very nervous jackass. The audio quality isn't all that great but, it's not like i was able to recreate the same ambience again, on cue. . .

Recorded using my droid turbo in the windowsill and has surprisingly good sound quality. Thunder is consistent and perfect for ambience.

There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.

Atmo city night, quiet. Traffic in the distance. Distant garbage truck. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bituse freely on your personal commercial and non-commercial projects.
